Lately my sense of connection to, or with, the blog has felt like some kind of futility. It seems to be reinforcing a very negative voice in my head that says I don't really have anything of worth to contribute.
So, I may be pulling this down.
I'm writing it down to get the refrain out of my head today, and focus on something else.
you write so well. i hope you continue to share some of that here.
ReplyDeleteThat was a self-indulgent whine. Yuck. Ever feel like that?
ReplyDeleteIt might be because I have spent a little too much time doing stuff other than writing. Blech. :)
Thank you - you're very kind.
hey you, i don't know you yet, i just know that you have 'soul' in your title, and that's good enough for me.even one word or one line is all...just be you, say whatever you wanna say, it's your blog, it's for you...if you have nothing to say then say just that...let's be friends in bloggyland.
ReplyDeleteoh I hear you, sometimes I wonder why I blog, but then I get some lovely comments and then I instantly love blogging all over again!
ReplyDeletei think i know what you mean, art. there are days that can be so hard to get through. and sometimes the blog almost seems like just another chore.
ReplyDeleteyou have a wonderful talent in that you can stir up enthusiasm for a topic...not with contrived rants or deliberate trolling as we have seen in some posting styles on a particular fray address.
it's your own enthusiasm that is contagious. your sense of irony and humor. that's what you share with others, and it is much appreciated.
wow. i just ran across this, this morning:

I think you should keep blogging. It's good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your comments - you know, it's funny how hearing something other then your own voice echoing makes the world a softer, gentler place.
ReplyDeleteJust seconding the comments of the others -- keep it up. I have got this bookmarked so can check in regularly. Expect to spend much less time at BotF, if that forum even continues, with corresponding increase on my own blog, and on those blogs of the posters I enjoy.
