I put in this bench
so I could look at this:
Today I finished dragging the last piles of dirt
into the paths
and even got some flowers planted
and herbs.
Tomorrow morning I walk.
I envision quite a few little creatures like this
and memorials
of people I have held in my heart.
I am pretty grateful.
And pretty amazed!
How was the first walk?
ReplyDeleteAnd where did you find that bench -- or did you make it? It's perfect. I totally covet it for my shade garden of the distant future.
Well, to be honest I was a bit fidgety on the first walk! I kept noticing things I wanted to "do" to the Labyrinth itself and had to keep returning to the breath over and over. The point that I was laughing at myself by the time I got to the center.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm just going to have to keep walking like that until I calm down. Reminds me of when I brought Molly home from the hospital 24 years ago! I was so nervous and WAAAY outside of the present moment!
The bench - I got at a local Nursery, I'll have to see if there is an artist's mark or brand or something. I have to admit (I have two of them) they're pretty awesome!
Congratulations! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!! You did an amazing job! I had to laugh at the fidgety walking! I am sure that future walks will provide calm!! CONGRATS!!
ReplyDeleteMargo its good to see you!!! Yes, the walks are getting better!!
